Did you know….

President Carter first volunteered with Habitat in Americus, Georgia, in March 1984. In September 1984, he and Mrs. Carter were joined by dozens of volunteers at the first Carter Work Project in New York City. The Carters worked alongside nearly 104,000 volunteers in 14 countries to build, renovate, and repair 4,390 Habitat for Humanity homes. This video shares the story.
